Hamilton Labs Built Environment 3DP, BE3DP, to Integrate Safe Water Garden Waste-water Management & Treatment Systems into Design & Build Homes in Indonesia

Hamilton Labs is pleased to announce a collaboration with Safe Water Garden (SWG) Pte Ltd, a Singapore based Social Enterprise with a vision to provide a safe and affordable sanitation system for every home in rural areas, to integrate, design and build Safe Water Garden waste-water management and treatment systems into BE3DP housing projects in Indonesia.

The Safe Water Garden (SWG) project was brought to life by a coalition of scientists, concerned people and business partners.  The vision is to provide, by 2030, a safe and affordable sanitation system for every home in rural areas in the (sub)tropical world. The United Nations recognizes the world-changing potential of this vision and invited SWG to exhibit –as one of only 6 examples of a scalable WASH solution– at the March 2023 UN Water Conference in New York.

“Together with Safe Water Gardens, Better Life Foundation and other partners, there’s a unique opportunity for the Hamilton Labs Built Environment 3DP Ecosystem to bring BE3DP to an industrial production level where it is possible to scale up for true savings and make the homes we BE3DP truly Sustainable in every sense of the word. Look at the plastic parts of the SWG in picture 2, the Leach Field Garden, in the illustration below”, said Willy. “We could now work with Safe Water Gardens to explore 3D printing the components 1 and 3 of the SWG system illustrated below using recycled and Ocean Bound Plastic.”.
